New iPod Nano Boasts A 24 Hour Battery Life
The new iPod Nano which was revealed by Apple CEO Steve Jobs is said to be half as light and half the size than its precursor.
Users of the new iPod Nano have the ability to scan through the various icons which allow them to select from Genius mixes, artists, music playlists, podcasts, photos and the ability to listen to FM radio broadcasts.
The ability to move and drag icons to various pages that is integrated on other iOS devices is also available on the iPod Nano 6G. Like the iPhone and the iPod Touch, the device enables its users to scroll.
The new iPod Nano consists of voiceover, a pedometer, hard volume buttons, Nike+ and can function in 29 different languages. You may rotate the screen by utilizing the multi-touch input.
The device is available in 6 different colors. The Apple iPod Nano 8GB model is priced at $149 while the Apple iPod Nano 16GB model costs $169. On a single charge, the internal battery allows users approximately 24 hours worth of music playback.
The features of the new iPod Nano include:
> Multi-touch display – With a tap of the screen you will be able scan through your music by composers, genres, playlists, artists, albums and songs and then select the song you want to listen to. This feature also allows you to rearrange the icons in a way in which you are comfortable with.
> Clip-on Design – The clip-on design feature allows you to attach the iPod Nano new on your clothes bag or to your pocket, while you dance, ride, run or walk. The display will show the album art of the song you are listening to.
> 24-hour Battery Life – The internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery allows you to playback music for approximately 24 hours, non-stop. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about your iPod Nano dying on you while you are listening to your favorite albums throughout the day.
> Shake to Shuffle – This is a feature that many have never seen before. If you want to listen to your songs in a totally random order, all you have to do is shake your device and it plays the various songs in your music library in no particular order.
> Genius Mixes – If you are listening to a song whose beat you really love and you want to hear other songs similar to it, simply tap on the Genius icon and it will do this for you. You can also create your Genius mixes from iTunes.
> FM Radio with Live Pause – The new iPod Nano comes equipped with an FM radio that you can use if you want to listen to the news or if you’re simply not in the mood to listen to songs in your music library.
> Fitness – Because the new iPod Nano 16GB is easily transportable, you can adjust it to your clothes and listen to music that will get you pumped, while you work out.
